Hey everyone! I am very new to the blogging world, but I have really enjoyed reading several of my friend's blogs, so I thought, hmmm why not! Let's give this a whirl!
I'll start by catching everyone up on what we have been up to lately....
Today is July 10 and oh my goodness, is it HOT outside! I know this has got to be one of the hottest summers I can remember. Birmingham has been HOT like this since around the beginning of May so I am not looking forward to how hot August will probably be.
Rob and I just got back from a trip to North Carolina. We went up with his parents and his brother Brian. Rob's sisters Kelly and Lauren live there with their husbands and adorable babies. While we were there we got to spend some time up in Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks. Both are about an hour away from where the girls live in Elizabeth City. We LOVED the Outer Banks and would love to spend a whole week there! It was beautiful. The sand was much darker then the Gulf of Mexico beaches and the water was absolutely FREEZING! It was crystal clear and the waves were huge. There were no high rise condominium buildings, just lovely beach houses that looked weathered and picture perfect.
Thanks to Kelly for letting us stay with her for the long weekend! We had a great time and can't wait to come and visit you again.

ReplyDeleteHi Amber! I've been to the Outer Banks once and would LOVE to go back. I loved the little towns and the wind. So different from FL beaches (which I also love). I love your blog. So southern and girly. I'm your 3rd follower. I've been blogging since December (http://mytrampolinelife.blogspot.com/) and I'm still trying to figure out the technical aspects, especially getting the pics to go where I want them to. If you're like me, you'll find yourself often saying, "I'm going to blog about that someday." :) Enjoy the rest of your summer. I can't believe school starts back in 3 weeks! Ugh!
